You can’t use Apple Pay to pay for an order made through the Wingstop mobile app. For in-app orders, you can pay with credit cards, debit cards, and Wingstop gift cards.
Good to know: The Wingstop app adds an automatic tip to your order, but you can change that to tip to any amount that you choose before confirming your order and completing the checkout process.

Is Wingstop Going Cashless?
They could be. In 2022 Wingstop began trialing a new style of Wingstop takeout store in Dallas near their Texas headquarters. Their new “Restaurant of The Future” prototype store only accepts app and card payments, so cash is definitely off the menu.
It’s a trend that’s picking up steam among retailers, and Wingstop locations in the United Kingdom are already cash-free zones.
Going cashless isn’t the only change Wingstop has introduced at its trial location. They’ve also removed the lobby tables, so there’s nowhere to sit down with a meal. Bench-style seating is present, though, so customers can sit down while they wait.
Wingstop says that almost 100% of their customers already opt for carry-out or delivery, so it makes little sense to offer an in-store dining option.
Counter service is changing too. Drop-in customers at the Dallas store can still order in-store for now by using the QR codes displayed on menu items, but Wingstop aims to transition to 100% digital ordering through the Wingstop app at that location.
With Wingstop trialing its new store concept, it’s safe to say that you’ll see some changes rolling out to your local outlet in the future.
